Η πιο σπουδαία κουβέντα που άκουσα τον τελευταίο τζιαιρό.
Just being in here is a humbling experience to me because, you are looking at all of these records and it’s sort of like a big pile of broken dreams in a way.
Almost none of these artists still have a career really so you kind of have to respect that in a way.
I mean if you are making records and if you are a DJ and putting out releases whether it’s mixtapes or whatever you are sort of adding to this pile whether you want to admit it or not.
I mean, ten years down the line you’ll be in here.
So keep that in mind when you start thinking like «I am invincible» or «I am the world’s best» or whatever, because that’s what all these guys thought.

Που ήμουν μιτσής τζιαι μόλις είχα αρχίσει να ακούω μουσική, ενόμιζα ότι ο Σταμάτης Κραουνάκης εν απλά ένας πασιής που το παίζει εναλλακτικός.
Κάθε λλίο ανακαλύφκω παραπάνω κομμάθκια δικά του που μου αρέσκουν. Σε λλίο εννα αλλάξω γνώμη τζιαι για την Άλκηστη..νομίζω δηλαδή..

I am writing this in English because I want a friend of mine to understand.
I found this «floating» around the net a few years ago. It’s an amateur recording of a concert by Orfeas Peridis and Sokratis Malamas.
Anyhow, the recording was two solid mp3 files of approximately 1 hour each. I edited them and cut them up in single song mp3s to be able to share them. Anyone wanting the whole album, contact me and I’ll see what I can do. I won’t upload it here cause I don’t the website coming down from requests (you never know where will the sharing end up).
Most of you should already know these guys. For you who don’t, they are two of the best musicians in Greece and in my opinion, two of the most influential persons in Greek music. One of their most significant characteristic of their music is the mix of folk music elements, like the outi and the ney, with modern culture and new age lyrics. The results are absolutely magnificent.
I wanted to share this particular song with a very good Turkish friend of mine, from the very first moment I listened to it. This is not the original version.
In the original version, the solos are performed with a guitar. Here, the solos in the middle of the song are performed by the ney.
Sometime, this friend of mine told me that, legend says that the sound of the ney hides inside, all of the world’s sadness and all of the world’s happiness. Try listening to this on headphones while resting. It will carry you away.

Άκουσα την παρακάτω ιστορία, μόλις τωρά τζιαι είπα ότι εννα ενδιαφέρει τζι’ αλλους.
Ένας Γιουγκοσλάβος τραγουδιστής, έπιασε κάποτε το τραγούδι “Το καράβι” του Ζαμπέτα τζιαι επαρουσίασε το ως δικό του στην χώρα του.
Οι δημοσιογράφοι, επήαν στον Ζαμπέτα τζιαι ερωτήσαν τον αν θα υποβάλει μύνηση.
Ο Ζαμπέτας απάντησε “Τι μύνηση να υποβάλω ρε παιδιά; Φουκαράς είναι ο άνθρωπος, τώρα γεννάει και η γυναίκα του. Το πολύ, πολύ να πεταχτώ μέχρι το Βελιγράδι να βαφτίσω και το παιδί.”
